Mom loved walking along the canal and when first doing the Race for Life with work colleagues I was living with her.  We would walk for miles helping to boosther fitness levels in training for this charity event.  We had many a good chat whilst walking and it was lovely enjoying some of the local nature.  

Mom lived with us for 12 months when downsizing and we would very often go for a quick stroll in an evening and allowed Mom to get some fresh air and exercise.

Mom spent a few Christmases at ours and we always had a walk even when it snowed.  We often laughed about it being dangerous and slipping into the water but thankfully we never did.  Mom loved these walks and walking off some the excess food eaten.
